Painted sage "White Monarch" - Salvia horminum.
For creating landscape compositions, monoculture flowerbeds and mixborders.
An annual, compact plant 70 cm high. Very attractive, thanks to creamy-white bracts collected in long (18-30 cm), simple inflorescences.
The plant is decorative already a month after sowing. It blooms from mid-June to late autumn, maintaining its decorative effect. It bears fruit abundantly, often self-seeding.
Prefers sunny places and soils without excess organic fertilizers.
Sowing is done in March in seedling boxes to a depth of 0.5-0.8 cm. Shoots appear in 7-14 days, after which the seedlings are picked. Seedlings are planted in the ground when the threat of spring frosts has passed (May 25 - June 15). The distance between plants is 30-35 cm.
